Winmau World Masters
Players can receive invites several ways:
     1. Top 4 men and top 2 women in the Winmau ADO National Finals.  This event is usually run in April each calendar year. With this entry, the ADO pays for your hotel and travel fees to and from the venue in England. ADO shirts will be provided to the players.

     2. Players that win one of the BDO Ranked ADO singles 501 events. There are 24 for the 2014 calendar year (12 men and 12 women). This is only an invite. The players pay for their own transportation, hotel and shirts.

     3. The 2 ADO National 501 and National Cricket champions also receive invites. This is only an invite. The players pay for their own transportation, hotel and shirts.

     4. The BDO has a deadline to register for Winmau. At that time, if you are ranked in the top 3 of either the mens or the womens ADO National points ranking, you receive an invite. This is only an invite. The players pay for their own transportation, hotel and shirts.

     5. Defending America’s Cup and World Cup singles champions receives an invite. This is only an invite. The players pay for their own transportation, hotel and shirts.

 

The players also compete in the Lakeside Playoffs (to qualify for the BDO Lakeside World Championship).  This is usually held the day before the start of the World Masters.

 

ADO All-Stars and 501 Singles Championships
This National Final usually runs in August Stamford, CT in conjunction with the USA Classic.

The top 6 men and top 3 women from the previous calendar year ADO rankings are invited to the ADO All-Stars.

 

A player can also qualify for this event through the ADO National Qualifier program. One player for every $880 at the qualifier is invited to participate in the ADO All-Stars. The invite includes airfare and $150 stipend. Players also receive All-Star shirts for the event. The All-Stars event format is a modified East vs West round robin. All players that participate in the All-Stars are automatically entered into the ADO 501 National Championship. The championship portion is a straight knockout bracket. Players are seeded based on their round robin win percentage.

 

US Team
America’s Cup Team:
Every even year, the ADO sends 2 men and 2 women to the represent the United States in the WDF America’s Cup. Players can make this team via the ADO National US Team Finals which is usually run around October each calendar year. The top 2 men and top 2 women complete the ADO team. The players receive airfare, travel expenses, $150 stipend and shirts for the event. The WDF America’s Cup event takes place in one of the Caribbean countries or Florida.

 

World Cup Team:
Every odd year, the ADO sends 4 men and 4 women to represent the United States in the WDF World Cup. There are 2 ways players can make the team.
     1. Players can make the team via a modified ADO tournament ranking system. The ranking system includes ADO events from the previous calendar year. The top 12 points events (501 or Cricket) for each player is calculated. The top 2 ranked players for both men and women via this ranking system are the first 4 members of the ADO’s WDF World Cup Team.

     2. Players can make this team via the ADO National US Team Finals which is usually run around October each calendar year. The top 2 men and top 2 women complete the ADO team.

 

The WDF World Cup event location changes each time it is played. For 2015, the event will be played in Turkey and in 2017 in Japan. The ADO pays for the teams hotel, travel fees, $150 stipend and team shirts. This event is considered by many as the ultimate nation vs nation events in darts. It is our Olympics.

 

ADO Cricket Singles Championships
This National Final usually runs in January in Las Vegas, NV in conjunction with the Las Vegas Open.

A player can also qualify for this event through the ADO National Qualifier program. One player for every $880 at the qualifier is invited to participate in the ADO Cricket Nationals. The invite includes airfare and $150 stipend. The event format starts off with a round robin with the groups randomly selected. 16 men and 8 women from the round robin qualify for the knockout bracket portion.

 

National Qualifiers
Please contact your regional director for upcoming national qualifiers. You can also view the schedule on the ADO website. Regionals are open to ALL ADO players and are not closed to players within a certain region.

 

BDO Lakeside Invite
Beginning with the 2014 BDO Lakeside World Championship, the BDO has offered the top ranked BDO USA Region mens player and invite to the World Championships. There are 24 events for the 2014 calendar year (12 men and 12 women). BDO Eligibility rules are posted on bdodarts.com. Please review the BDO 365 day rules in regards to PDC events.
