William “Bill” O’Neil
Bill was a long time member, #36, and a contributor the CDC endeavor. His last contribution was helping with the installation of the Hall of Fame presentation display materials. He had won many darting trophies, both locally and nationally including multiple CDC League Championships as part of the infamous “Fights” team (Tom Yurcich, Ernie Peto, Ed Sullivan, Steve Warner and Steve Farkas) of the Harbor Inn. He started playing in the Cleveland area about mid 1972. It was about that time when I met him at the Harbor Inn that Bill showed me how a real dart player “hits what he’s aiming at” and that was the real secret for good darts. Bill was also inducted into the CDC Hall of Fame. I will always remember Bill as good friend.
Bill’s professional life was that of an artist, cartoonist, ad agency art director and graphic designer with many awards to his credit.
Information about a memorial will be announced later.
Thank you.
