The list of American events ranked by the BDO in 2017 has been confirmed, and the following thirteen tournaments are now published on the BDO Calendar.  All BDO ranked events are 501 Singles events, and the letters under the headings “M” (men) and “W” (women) denote the BDO Category of the respective event.  Based on the individual event purse, Category D events award points to the Top 16 (men) and Top 8 (women), while Category C events award points to the Top 32 (men) and Top 8 (women).

These BDO ranked events qualify players for both the Lakeside World Championship, and the Winmau World Masters.  Here is a breakdown of the methods of qualification:

Ranking points earned in these events count toward both the BDO Main Invitational Tables, AND the USA Regional Table.  The top points earner from the USA Regional Table at September 30 qualifies for the Lakeside World Championship.

2015/16 USA Regional Table Winner, Tom Sawyer

Based on their positions in the Main Invitational Tables, both men and women can qualify for the Lakeside World Championship.

Winners of a BDO ranked singles event (men’s or women’s) receive an invitation to compete at the Winmau World Masters.  This also qualifies the player to compete in the Lakeside World Championship playoffs (unless they are already qualified for this tournament).

2015 World Masters runner-up, Larry Butler
