Timmy Nicoll

It is with a very heavy heart that we report the passing of one of the most successful – and certainly one of the most experienced – players in US darting history, Timmy Nicoll. Timmy was one of the celebrated Nicoll clan, and followed his late father, Bill Sr, into the sport.

Despite a lifetime of playing darts, and the fact that his siblings, Julie and Bill Jr, had achieved success on the international stage, it is only relatively recently that the man from Kettering, Ohio, hit the US circuit seriously. However, it didn’t take him long to emerge as one of the stars as the game, although he had a somewhat limited travel schedule.

Alongside numerous tournament wins, including the Blueberry Hill Open, Buckeye Open, Seacoast Open, and of course, the cricket singles at the 2019 Las Vegas Open, Timmy was a member of the US National Team in 2015 and 2017, and qualified for the Winmau World Masters in 2016.

Our thoughts are with his wife Kim, and family at this sad time.
