2022 William Hill World Championship Preview

This Wednesday (December 15) sees the start of the 2022 William Hill World Championship. The PDC’s flagship event is again taking place at London’s Alexandra Palace. With a field of 96 players, the tournament carries a total purse of 2,500,000 GBP (almost $3,299,000).

Among those 96 players is the familiar face of Danny Lauby Jr, returning to the Ally Pally after making his debut last year. The man from Terre Haute opens his account on Thursday (December 16), when he takes on Irishman William O’Connor in the first match of the evening session. Should he win, Lauby will then face three-time World Champ Glen Durrant on Tuesday, December 22.

Former ADO #1 Paul Lim is back, representing his native Singapore, and takes on England’s Joe Murnan on Friday.
