Danny Baggish got off to a flying start at the Ally Pally tonight, with a 3-0 defeat of Matt Campbell.

A high quality encounter saw Baggish take the first leg against the darts with a nice check from 94. The next two legs also went with the throw, but Baggish finally held serve in the fourth to clinch the set.

After wiring the bull for a second checkout from 94, Danny was soon two legs down in the second set, but he won the third, and then squared it with a 12-darter with a 116 out. When the Canadian wired 112 in the fifth, it became 2-0.

The third set started in similar fashion, losing leg 1, but a 118 finish tied the score. Both players missed big outs in the third – Campbell with 108, and Baggish with 152. However, Matt missed again, but the Floridian didn’t. Campbell again missed a nice out in the next – this time 121 – but Baggish cleaned up from 67. Danny finished with a steady average of 92.96.

Leonard Gates takes to the stage tomorrow night.
