Mr. Vegas Grand Slam of Darts – Day 2

Leonard Gates kept his hopes alive in Wolverhampton, with a tense 5-4 victory over Peter Wright. Defeat would have condemned the Texas to an early exit from the event, but he can still progress to the knockout rounds with a victory against Martin Lukeman.

Shock of the day came when World #1 and reignin Champ, Luke Humphries, was knocked out thanks to a second defeat, this time at the hands of James Wade. So, the Men’s World Champion is gone, and so is the Women’s orld Champion! Beau Greaves lost here second match also, to Martin Schindler.

Elsewhere, Gary Anderson took down Michael van Gerwen in a last-leg decider, while Michael Smith was crushed by Jermaine Wattimena, who secured his spot in the Top 16.

The round-robin groups conclude tomorrow and Tuesday.
