Jason Brandon continued his remarkable run at Frimley Green with yet another straight-set demolition. Yet to drop a set here, the Tennessean lost just three legs to Belgium’s Sybren Gijbels.

Brandon broke his opponent twice in the first set to win in straight legs, and with all the legs in the second going with the throw, it was soon 2-0. Gijbels took the first leg in the third, but that was the last double he was to reach, and Jason had secured a place in the quarter-finals.

He plays former World Champ Neil Duff (Northern Ireland) tomorrow night.

Elswhere, Paul Lim grabbed a spot alongside Brandon with an enthralling five-set win over Scot Gary Stone, whilel tournament favorite Jimmy van Schie went down to fellow countryman Jarno Bottenberg.
