ADO Website
You will probably have noticed a lack of posts recently on the ADO website. Yes, it has been pretty quiet darts-wise, but that has been a help! We have been busy making changes to the website database in order to make things more user-friendly, and improve efficiency.
While these changes may not be immediately obvious, we are trying to automate many of the database features which will make things easier and quicker, and will reduce the risk of errors. Of course, there have been odd issues, but as we encounter them, they are fixed. This will be an ongoing process as we continually strive to improve the way the organization functions.
So, there are a few items of note that you may have missed.
Firstly, the 2025 World Masters National Final has been confirmed Friday, May 2, and will be held in Strongsville, OH, in conjunction with the Cleveland Extravaganza. Unfortunately, we do not yet know when the World Masters itself will be held – or where.
Secondly, in case you missed it, Phoenix’s David Fatum produced a stunning display at the recent Dutch Open, reaching the final, where he slipped to defeat against local hero Jeffrey Sparidaans. Remember, the men’s singles attracted over 4,000 entries, so this really was a noteworthy performance.
Then, the World Darts Federation have confirmed that the 2025 World Cup is scheduled for September 22-27 in the Republic of Korea. The USA will be sending a team, and there will be a number of updates between now and then.
Finally, the World Seniors Darts World Championship is approaching, taking place between February 19-25. Texan Leonard ‘Soulger’ Gates is among the favorites for the event, and we will be providing coverage of this event.
