2024 WDF World Masters – Day 1

The dust has settled in Budapest after a fantastic first day of darts. A total of 498 players took to the boards, with 306 men, and 192 women in action.

Eight American women qualified for the knockout rounds. Cali West (unbeaten), Aaja Jalbert, Tracy Feiertag (unbeaten), and Emily Kaufhold (unbeaten) all topped their groups, while Andrea Taylor, Liz Tynan, Laura Dintsch, and Renee Ripol all finished safely in second place.

These women will be joined at the next stage by thirteen American men. Joey Lynaugh (unbeaten), Kevin Luke (unbeaten), Matt Thompson (unbeaten), Robbie Phillips, Dustin Holt (unbeaten), and David Fatum headed their groups, and Gary Brooks, Jay Waugh, Jason Brandon, Jeff Springer, Jason Daigneault, Dave Dwyer, and Elliot Milk all advanced with them.

Tomorrow (Thursday) sees the men and women play the knockout rounds down to the semi-finals. The boys and girls will complete their round-robin groups, and play their knockout rounds down to the semi-finals.
