Scotland’s John Henderson and Peter Wright stormed to victory in the final of the Cazoo World Cup of Darts with a 3-1 triumph against Austria. It is the second time that Scotland have lifted the crown, with Wright and Gary Anderson having won the 2019 event.
The Austrians got off to a great start, with Mensur Suljovic winning the first singles against Henderson by 4 legs to 1. Wright leveled the score with a 4-1 victory against Rowby-John Rodriguez. The men from North of the Border edged the doubles in a tense seven-legger, before Wright wrapped it up by beating Suljovic.
To reach the final, Austria beat England – dropping just two legs in the process, while Scotland got the better of Wales.
