Waiver for players pertaining to the BDO current ranking table – USA Region

By
Updated: June 7, 2013

As many know, the BDO 180 rule was announced late in 2012.  Several players did not receive BDO points for several BDO ranked tournaments because of the 180 rule.  Many of those players were unaware of the rule until after they had played in a PDC event.

After many conversations with the British Darts Organization, we have come to the following conclusion:  The BDO will accept a signed waiver from any player that promises to reject a PDC invite to their 2013-2014 World Championships.   To be eligible for consideration for the Lakeside spot, as of June 1, 2013, the player must adhere to the BDO 180 rule, not participate in any event that offers PDC points and not be in contention for a spot in the PDC World Championships.

In return, the BDO will re-instate any missing points for the 2013 calendar year prior to June 1, 2013 for that player.

The player must also understand that if they break this promise, the BDO will again remove all points earned that fall into the 180 rule.

You can scan and email the waiver to me at CommunicationsOfficer@adodarts.com or mail to me at 286 Norwood Avenue, Laurence Harbor, NJ  08879

Along with the signed waiver, please notify me of the possible points you may be missing since October 1, 2012.  Here is the current USA Region BDO rankings.  http://bdodarts.com/tables.aspx?tid=16

Please return the waiver to me no later than June 21, 2013.  This date may change as I am waiting to hear back from the BDO on the deadline.
